The basic Spiritual Kinesiology techniques are described in our Spiritual Kinesiology Introductory Course. Courses accredited by the KA are based mainly on techniques which have been discovered and developed by the ICAK; in addition, they incorporate recent discoveries and some developed by other kinesiologists too. Additionally, the department provides instruction in lifetime physical activity through a university wide activity program for undergraduate students and a Senior Adult Fitness Program for adults aged 55 and older. The Kinesiology degree program provides students with a strong science foundation for post-graduate specialized study in Kinesiology, exercise science, physiology or professional schools (e.g., chiropractic, Medical Taping Concept Handbook by CureTape Kinesiology Taping Text Book, physical therapy). The major offers five concentrations with foundation courses in health education, the psychological basis of conditioning, and the historical and ethical issues in physical culture. The KES major is comprised of a three-track system. In approximately 2-3 weeks, they will be forwarded in the system to the KIN grad coordinator for evaluation, after which you will be notified of your status via MySJSU and mail. For those engaged in legacy NCATE and TEAC accreditation visits, the more detailed information will remain on these respective sites for the time being. While it is recommended that the academic advisor be the person who will eventually be the thesis-KIN 299 or Plan B-KIN 298 advisor, it is not required. Undergraduate Degree Programs. Students who select Kinesiology, Sport and Leisure Studies as their degree program have the option of pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in one of two tracks: Kinesiology and Leisure Studies.

Kinesiology and Exercise Sciences (KES) is one of the largest, fastest growing programs at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo, and encompasses a wide range of disciplines including fields of movement sciences, anatomy, physiology, exercise physiology and the exercise sciences, sport psychology, motor learning, athletic training, physical therapy, health promotion, physical education, and coaching. The sports medicine, physical therapy and therapeutic sciences track is designed for students who have interests in the fields of medicine, sports medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy, athletic training, exercise sciences research, and more.
